Andrei Shevchenko
Andrei Shevchenko is a Ukrainian football player named
European Footballer of the Year in 2004. One of the
most proficient strikers in the game, Shevchenko
(also affectionately known as Sheva by fans
and teammates), is amongst the top scorers in the
history of European club competition. His
prestigious club career has seen him play for Dynamo
Kyiv, Milan and Chelsea, while his international
career saw Shevchenko captain his Ukrainian national
team to the quarter finals of the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
