Kazakhstan Visa Support
Step 1: Do you need a Kazakhstan visa invitation? If so, obtain a letter of invitation from a certified travel agency.
Currently, citizens of 27 developed nations (listed below) can obtain single entry visas for stays up to one month without a letter of invitation. For citizens of other countries or to obtain a visa for a longer duration, follow the link to obtain a Kazakhstan visa invitation.
List of 27 countries stated above include citizens of the EU (except for new EU countries), U.S., Canada, Switzerland, Scandinavian countries, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan.
Step 2: Complete a Kazakhstan visa application form.
The second step requires that you complete the appropriate visa application form and submit it with your invitation, passport-size photo, and the original copy of your passport to the nearest Kazakhstan consulate.
a. Open or download a Kazakhstan visa application (pdf file). In order to download for later use, simply right click and select "Save Target As..."
b. Print, complete and sign the application form.
c. Now locate the nearest Kazakhstan consulate or embassy and contact them to inquire about fees and visa application requirements. Another useful resource for locating embassies and consulates can be found at www.embassyworld.com.
d. Submit the Kazakhstan visa application along with your invitation, visa application fees, passport-size photo and original copy of your passport to the nearest Kazakhstan consulate.
Step 3: Kazakhstan Visa Registration
Visas are now automatically registered for all persons arriving via the international airport.
Those arriving to Kazakhstan overland have 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) to register their visa with OVIR (Office of Visa and Registration). Visa registration is no longer possible at local hotels, so your best bet is to register with the agency (or partner agency) with whom you obtained your invitation. (Price to register is anywhere from $15-$25). If this is not possible, find another travel agency or locate the local OVIR.
