Moscow Budget Hotels   The least expensive hotel rooms can be found under $60 dollars per night, but these are relics of Moscow accommodations from the days of the Soviet Union. For this price don’t expect a private bathroom, and service may be less than hospitable.

Moscow Midrange Hotels   A 2 or 3 star hotel in the vicinity of $70 to $100 will get you a bed, private bath, phone and T.V. but don’t expect too much more.

Moscow Luxury Hotels   If you want a hotel room with western style standards, expect to pay for it. Moscow is a rather expensive city and this is reflected in the price you pay for 3, 4 & 5 star hotel rooms.

Moscow Hostels   In comparison to other European cities, the choice of Hostels is still limited in terms of quality and quantity. Those that are available often fill up quickly in the summer, so book ahead.

Moscow Apartments - Short Term Rental   Short term Moscow apartments are a slightly less expensive option than renting a hotel room, but once again, price really determines quality and location of the apartment. $75 dollars or more should get you an apartment with western standards. If you pay less you will still get all the basics, simply with a “Soviet” look and feel.

Moscow Apartments - Long Term Rental   If you are planning to stay in Moscow for a long term period (at least 3 or 4 months) then your best option may be to find your own apartment. Monthly rent can vary depending on location, number of bedrooms and whether it has western or Russian standards. You are generally looking anywhere between $400 per month for a standard one bedroom Russian style apartment one hour from the city center, up to $2000 per month for a comfortable western style apartment within the center.
