Moscow Travel Guide
Moscow is the crown jewel of Russia's tourism industry. With a population of roughly 11 million people it boasts a myriad of tourist attractions.
Although situated in the center of European Russia (see map), it really is an entity unto itself. Since Perestroika Moscow has developed much more of an International flavor than the rest of Russia. So much so that non Muscovites will often tell you that you have to venture outside of the city limits to see the real Russia.
Nevertheless, it is easy to see why many tourists never have time to venture outside of Moscow. The city is so rich in history, architecture, culture, museums, the arts, food and nightlife, that you can spend several months and not have time to take in all its attractions.
